What a superbowl party is really like

This is what real life Superbowl party hosting is like. Tay Tay banter included..  First you prep for the big event by spending hundreds of dollars on food that only half will be eaten. You know this going in yet still tell yourself that the more food the better. This is for 20 people Just prior to the Kickoff , words of Taylor Swift already begin. Kids continue to ask if Taylor will be performing.  Some of the adults will be yelling because they lost the “will she show up for the Superbowl or not” bet. Kickoff starts and you realize that someone named blah blah has already won the Bonus 0-0 payout in your Superbowl box pool that you dropped a hundred on. You say hmmmm and already start having conspiracy theories as its someone who is related to the person running the pool.  End of the 1 st draws near . Its only been an hour since the company has arrived and already the food that was beautifully prepared...

Nothing makes any sense

Don't wear a mask. NEVER buy one. Its a waste and does not work. Now wear a mask. You must or you will die.

Don't go out in public. Its ok to now go out in public. Wait, don't be around too many people though. And make sure you wear a mask.

100 people is cool for gatherings. Wait, now its 50. Oh shit, my bad, its now 25. Wait, I was fking with ya. Its 50 again. Wear your masks only inside. It's ok outside as long as your 6 feet apart.

Go out and support your local businesses and restaraunts. But you can't go in the stores. Nor can you eat inside. Instead, eat under a tent under 100 degree weather while a masked man serves you food. Oh, you have to go to the bathroom. Now you need to wear a mask inside. You know, the one place where nobody is. You can take it back off only when you come back to your table..outside.. where everyone is.

Sports can continue. Practices require social distancing and maks but games against other teams do not.  Spectators can come but must be 6 feet apart and wear masks. What happens if there are over 25 or 50 or whatever the magic number of spectators present?

Kids have to start school in September. Districts decide what model works best. Our school decided on 2 half days and the rest virtual. Other schools decided all half days. Some decide only a few half days. What is up with the half days? Kids have to wear masks in class including the Teacher who, besides teaching and dodging bullets, is now adding dodging COVID to their resume. Kids will have to wear masks all day. I repeat, kids will have to wear masks all day. Right.

Dance classes have resumed. First it was Zoom. I honestly do not know why I never blogged about the virtual dance experience. Then, in person classes reopened. The only rules? You guessed it. Kids have to wear masks. And they have to dance 6 feet apart. Oh my. All this for a dance recital that may be virtual. No thank you.

Open up the economy. Go back to work. Dont wear a mask. Things will go away. A supposedly wise man once said these words. Now look where we are. Please someone provide some kind of leadership and help us understand what to do!

I feel like we are all Children looking for answers. I am so confused with life right now...
